School bus tracking that parents actually use
Route adherence, arrival notifications and the operational discipline that makes them trustworthy.
What actually worries parents?
Most parents’ calls to a school come down to two questions: where is the bus now, and did my child get on? The system parents actually use is the one that answers both before the phone rings.
Three core functions
- The bus’s live location in the parent app.
- An arrival notification before the stop, so the child is not left waiting in the street.
- Boarding and drop-off recorded with an RFID or NFC card at the door, so parents and the school know who got on and who did not.
The operational discipline that makes it reliable
An app alone is not enough if the data behind it is loose. Routes, stops and student cards must be loaded accurately and kept up to date; the driver’s adherence to the approved route must be monitored, with an alert on deviation; and speed limits and harsh-driving alerts must be set for the school run. An in-cabin camera can be added for supervision.
How it is rolled out
- Install the tracker, RFID reader and camera on the bus.
- Load routes, stops and student cards.
- Parents receive notifications automatically in the app.
What the school gains
Fewer calls from parents because they see the bus themselves, a record of every boarding and drop-off, safer driving, and a faster response when a bus runs late.
